WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY PEGGY? by Diana Serra Cary

I have just spent  two days refusing to close "What Ever Happened to Baby Peggy?" except to eat and sleep! Author Diana Serra Cary, (famous as 'Baby Peggy') has done a marvelous job of not only bringing herself and those who were a part of her past alive in living and breathing color, but the entire era that spanned a fascinating time in film and vaudeville history as well as the look of the country in those years. "What Ever Happened to Baby Peggy?" deserves all the exposure it can get. Cary is a terrific writer.

- Anne Edwards, best-selling biographer of Vivien Leigh, The DeMilles: An American Family

Long before Shirley Temple's curls bounced their way into America's heart, Baby Peggy lit up marquees here and around the world. Discovered in 1920 at 19 months of age, she was put under contract with her first film at $75 a week. Working constantly, she was starred in dozens of Baby Peggy comedies and five feature films; she had earned more than $2 million by the time she was five. This story of the shared infancy of a child and an industry reveals the incredible life, responsibilities and burdens of a world famous child super-star.

This is the reprint of her hardback, now containing additional goodies!
